Ingredients
1 bunch Swiss chard (about 6–8 leaves), washed and chopped
2 tbsp olive oil (or butter for a richer flavor)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice or balsamic vinegar (optional, for extra flavor)
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Preparation
Instructions:
Separate the stems from the leaves. Chop the stems into small pieces and roughly chop the leaves.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the chopped chard stems and cook for another 2–3 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add the Swiss chard leaves and toss to coat with the oil.
Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leaves are wilted and tender.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Drizzle with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for extra brightness.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired and serve warm.
