The Pattern uses Super Bulky Weight.
I like to use the DK Coffee Yarn. 
Keeping in mind the size of the blanket will differ, depending on the type of yarn you use. 
 
1 Yarn Needle
5 mm Crochet Hook (for mane)
6.5 mm Crochet Hook (for head and arms)
8 mm Crochet Hook (for blanket)
