My Crochet Journey
My love for crochet began when I was just nine years old, when my mother first introduced me to the wonderful world of yarn and crochet.
As my interest grew, my Aunt Ella helped me develop my skills further. She taught me to crochet with fine cotton and helped me understand the importance of mastering good, even tension in crochet work. She also taught me how to read and understand crochet patterns from books, and how to study an already finished handmade item, work out how it had been constructed, and recreate it from the piece itself.
Those early lessons gave me far more than a practical skill.
They gave me a lifelong love for crochet, an appreciation for beautiful handmade work, and the confidence to experiment, understand construction and eventually create designs of my own.
Over the years, crochet has remained a constant part of my creative life.
Today, through LifeStyle Yarn Studio, I have the opportunity to pass that knowledge on to others through my own patterns and Creative Crochet Lessons.
Crochet has been part of my story since I was nine, and now I would love for it to become part of yours.
